Microneedling FAQs

  • Downtime is minimal. Redness and sensitivity similar to a mild sunburn are expected for 24–72 hours. Some patients experience light peeling or dryness. Makeup should be avoided for at least 24 hours post-treatment.

  • A series of 3–4 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is recommended for best results. While skin cell turnover occurs approximately every 28 days, full collagen maturation takes up to 12 weeks, which is why consistent treatments yield the most visible and lasting improvement.

  • A topical anesthetic is applied beforehand to ensure your comfort. Most patients report feeling light pressure or a mild scratching sensation during treatment.
