Sculptra®
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is a biostimulatory injectable made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), designed to gradually restore lost volume and improve skin firmness by stimulating your body’s own collagen production. It’s not a quick fix—it’s a long-term investment in your skin’s health.
Who is a good candidate?
Sculptra is ideal for patients looking for natural, subtle volume restoration over time—not immediate plumping. It’s perfect for those experiencing facial hollowing, skin laxity, or volume loss due to aging or weight loss. A consultation helps determine if Sculptra or another option best meets your goals.

Sculptra® FAQ
Unlike hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, which provide instant volume by physically filling space, Sculptra works by stimulating your body’s own collagen production. It doesn’t give immediate results, but instead restores structure and firmness over time—making it ideal for long-term rejuvenation with a natural look. It’s particularly well-suited for treating facial volume loss, skin laxity, and areas needing deep structural support.
Sculptra works gradually to stimulate your body’s natural collagen production. You may notice subtle changes as early as 4–6 weeks after treatment, but optimal results typically appear over 3 to 6 months as collagen continues to build. The result is a natural-looking, long-lasting enhancement in volume, firmness, and skin texture.
Because Sculptra builds your own collagen, results can last up to 2 years or more. To maintain long-term results, a booster session every 12–18 months may be recommended, depending on how your body metabolizes the product.
Most clients benefit from a series of 2 to 3 treatments, spaced 4–6 weeks apart. The exact number depends on your age, level of volume loss, and treatment goals. Your provider will design a personalized plan to achieve natural, balanced results.
Yes — when performed by a qualified injector. Sculptra’s active ingredient, poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), has been used safely in medicine for decades. It was originally developed and FDA-approved in 1999 to treat facial fat loss (lipoatrophy) in people with HIV, helping restore lost volume in a natural way. Over time, its success in rebuilding collagen led to its use in aesthetic treatments. Today, it’s valued for delivering gradual, long-lasting results with a strong safety record.
Discomfort is minimal — Sculptra is mixed with lidocaine for numbing, and a small needle or cannula is used.
Sculptra is priced based on the number of vials needed to achieve the desired degree of collagen stimulation—not a one-size-fits-all formula. At Avenue Beauty, we don’t oversell product. Instead, we tailor every plan to your unique facial structure and goals. A personalized quote will be provided during your consultation.
Yes — Sculptra pairs well with neurotoxins (like Botox), HA fillers, skin tightening devices, and resurfacing treatments for comprehensive rejuvenation
Most clients have mild swelling, redness, or bruising for 1–3 days. Makeup can usually be worn the next day.
The “5-5-5” rule: Massage the treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days to help distribute the product evenly and reduce the risk of nodules.
